Why I am reminded the trial period is expired before 30-day limit ?

AppFace calculates its trial days from the just time that the first copy installing . For example, you install AUDK 1.8 at 01-02-2006 ,then install AUDK 2.0 at 02-06-2006 ,the trial start time is 01-02-2006 for both AUDK 1.8 and 2.0 .

AppFace will expire immediately if the computer system time is modified .

Why my program spent more time for loading after use AppFace ?

To get high performance for running , AppFace would load all the resource of the URF at the same time when calling SkinStart, this operation expended a lot of CPU time ... We recommend that display a flash form when calling SkinStart .

How does AppFace support 3rd party custom control ?

AppFace supports most third-party ActiveX controls,but it does not suport the ActiveX control which draw its appearance by itself .You should call

SkinWindowSet(hWnd,SKIN_CLASS_NOSKIN)

to unskin this ActiveX control if that to avoid it affect the whole applicaiton. The unsupportd ActiveX controls,such as: MS FlexGrid control.

How do I develop UNICODE program by with AppFace ?

AppFace 2.4 and later versions offer two DLLs in AUDK installation package , appface.dll and appfaceu.dll . Appface.dll is used for ANSI and appfaceu.dll is for UNICODE , the two have the same interfaces . Developers need appfaceu.dll only for their UNCIODE programs .

Why my UNICODE program does not use the font settings of the URF ?

AppFaceu.dll would use Windows default font rather than the font settings in the URF by default , because the improper font settings would cause displaying text by error . Please call this line if you want to use URF font settings :

SkinWindowSetEx(NULL,SKIN_SET_UNICODE_URF_FONT,1,0,NULL,0,NULL);

Why I register appface.dll to windows failed by regsvr32.exe ?

AppFace.dll is a windows stardand dynamic library .It is't an acitveX control ,but it's more easy than an ActiveX for Win32 programmers to add skin to their appliations. It need not register to windows by regsvr32.exe .

Can I use different skins to one project ?

Yes ,you can call SkinWindowSetEx to do it .

Can I get the static linked library of AppFace ?
